Welcome to our

Covenant House

Program

Have you ever considered doing something radical in your Christian life?  Do you desire a faith adventure one where you will live outside of your comfort zone and be challenged to put into action the words in scripture?  Do you want to be bold in your love of Jesus Christ?  Then consider a year or more as a resident or host of a Covenant House, where you can provide a house of refuge for people to connect or reconnect with God.

Where Are the American Missionaries?

Our Covenant House program provides intentional living community opportunities for believers who would like to impact our world with the love of Christ, as well as, those who would like to open their homes as a meeting place for teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer. We are looking for those with missionary zeal to minister to the spiritual bankruptcy in America. We are looking to establish at least 49 Covenant Houses in the 7 southeastern states of SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA and TN and other areas as the Holy Spirit directs. Right now we are currently establishing an intentional community in Forest Park, GA,

Covenant House Residents

  • Live together in an intentional community made up of 2 - 4 people.  Ambassadors range in age from 35 years of age or older.
  • Share a common budget for groceries and work together to share meals throughout the week.
  • Build deep, long-term relationships with other committed followers of Christ.  People who participate in the program come from many different backgrounds and have different interests.  Our Covenant House program allows these diverse people to come together with a common vision, building relationships that might not otherwise have blossomed.  Many of our residents have reflected that were it not for their intentional living experience, they probably would not have met one another and become friends.  Our Covenant House - Atlanta seeks to provide space to break down walls and build relationships around our common love of Jesus Christ.
  • Set aside one afternoon each week when the community joins together to have a meal and pray, study, worship, and read scripture together.  For many residents this is the most important time of the week. Without this time, living together would be less joyous.
  • Make time each month to join together to serve the Forest Park, GA community. These opportunities focus on the needs of the neighborhood where the house is located.  Service projects might include helping seniors make repairs on their houses, providing dinner to folks who are staying at the downtown shelter, helping clean up the local park with other neighbors, and many more opportunities.
  • Take 2 retreats together during the year.  These times of reflection are led by our staff and help participants to put their experiences in perspective. All residents receive tuition-free Bible College & Seminary courses in the classroom once a week.
  • Are required to be actively engaged in a local church of their choosing throughout their participation, help conduct weekly Cell Church Fellowship and monthly Corporate Worship & Training Seminars.

Our Common Vision

  • Sharing economic resources with fellow community members and the needy among us.
  • Hospitality to the stranger
  • Lament for racial divisions within the church and our communities combined with the active pursuit of a just reconciliation.
  • Humble submission to Christ's body, the church.
  • Intentional formation in the way of Christ and the rule of living in community.
  • Nurturing common life among members of the intentional community.
